Our recommendations remain editorial selections based on published criteria, not payments for favourable coverage.
01
How store links work
A 'Visit store' button first passes through a redirect on animedoll.co.uk, then opens a retailer chosen for that link. The site does not operate a checkout, accept your payment or fulfil an order. The store handles the sale according to its own terms.
Some links may earn a commission if a subsequent purchase qualifies under the retailer's programme. A click alone is not a promise that we will be paid. Store redirects are used across different retailers and are not a declaration that any particular shop is a formal partner.
We aim to explain the commercial relationship near editorial buying recommendations, where the disclosure will be useful before someone follows a link.
02
What commission does not buy
Commission does not determine positions, product verdicts or exclusions. We consider visible anime-face quality, material, construction, UK purchase terms and price using our review criteria. A model with weak documentation can be left out even if a commission might be available.
We do not accept a commission as evidence that a maker's safety, lifespan or product claims are accurate. An affiliate link is not an endorsement of every item in a store's catalogue.
03
UK advertising rules we follow
UK advertising guidance expects commercial content to be recognisable as such. The ASA's affiliate-marketing guidance explains that disclosure may be necessary where the commercial nature of editorial content is not already clear.
Our approach is to give readers a direct explanation of commission and repeat a concise disclosure on pages featuring store buttons. We do not claim certification, approval or endorsement by the ASA. Transparency is an ongoing publishing obligation rather than a badge.
